How long does it actually take for a new blog post to show up on Google?

I published my first couple of articles last week, but when I search for them, nothing comes up. How many weeks or months did it take for your site to start appearing in search results?
 
It can take a while, especially for a new site. I wouldn’t worry too much after just one week, since Google still needs some time to find and index the posts.
 
I’d also check whether the pages have actually been indexed yet. Sometimes the issue isn’t the content itself, but that Google hasn’t picked up the new pages in search yet.
 
New blogs usually have little authority at first, so I’d focus on targeting specific keywords that bigger sites might overlook. Articles answering very particular questions can be a good starting point while the site is still building its reputation.
 
Maybe around 2–4 weeks? I’d probably give it some time before worrying too much, then check Google Search Console if the posts still aren’t showing up.
