I had a payment issue once that took longer to sort out than I expected. It got me wondering about the problems other people have run into, like failed payments, delayed refunds, or being charged twice. What’s the most annoying payment issue you’ve dealt with?

I think failed payment attempts with no information about what went wrong are the worst. Whether it's your bank or the card or something else - it's really confusing to the customer. It's probably more frustrating than just failing and having to try again.

Getting charged twice would probably be the most annoying for me, especially when you have to wait for the extra charge to be refunded.

Delayed refunds are pretty frustrating too, especially when you’re already expecting the money back and have no clear idea when it will actually arrive.

Checkout errors are probably the worst, especially after filling everything out and then getting hit with a payment error at the very end. It’s such a hassle when you have to start over.

Had a client whose customers kept abandoning checkout because their card payments weren’t going through. Some ended up buying elsewhere instead of trying again.

Getting charged for a subscription after you’ve already canceled it is so frustrating. You end up spending time contacting support and proving you shouldn't have been charged in the first place. It's even worse when the refund takes days to come through.

Oh, I feel you. It's frustrating when you're ready to pay but have no idea what went wrong or how to fix it. A simple explanation would make the whole experience much less stressful.
