Some topics need 2,000+ words, while others can be answered in a few paragraphs. Does article length really matter that much?

I don’t think longer is automatically better. If you can answer the question properly in a few paragraphs, adding more words can just make the content harder to get through.

I usually follow the C&C rule too, concise and complete. There’s no point stretching an article just to hit a word count if the reader can get what they need without all the extra fluff.

Honestly, more writers should keep that in mind. It makes the content easier to read and saves everyone time.

This is honestly one of the most practical writing tips I've come across. It's easy to get caught up in making an article longer when what really matters is making every sentence count.

From what I’ve seen, longer articles usually work well for topics that need in-depth explanations, like research papers or documentaries. Shorter pieces are more common for product descriptions, reviews, and regular blog posts. It really depends on the purpose of the content and how much information the reader needs.

Well said. I also believe the key is knowing how much detail is necessary to give readers a clear understanding without overwhelming them. The goal should always be to make the content useful and easy to follow, rather than adding words just to make it longer.
