Have you ever tried to explain what your job really involves? What's one thing people usually get wrong about digital marketing?

Funnily enough, my friends actually understand what I do since most of them are my former classmates. We're pretty close in age, and they're also tech-savvy and familiar with this kind of stuff, so I don't really have to explain much about my work. It's nice when the people around you already have an idea of what you do instead of assuming it's just about posting on social media.

My friends know just the basics of what I do within Digital Marketing which is okay. I wouldn't expect them to know everything as it takes a long time to learn. If they want to know more I am more than happy to explain things in an easy to understand way. I wouldn't go into too much detail with them.

Yes! Having some knowledge on digital marketing is becoming more important. I think having an understanding on how marketing works on the internet can help you stay current with how businesses and customers engage. As we use so many digital platforms when finding new products and making purchasing decisions.
