Sometimes a product can be useful overall but still have a few flaws that might affect someone's buying decision. When writing reviews, I find it important to mention the downsides without making the whole review sound negative. How do you decide which weaknesses are worth highlighting when promoting a product as an affiliate?

Just keep the wording gentle enough not to offend the brand, but still give buyers a heads-up about what they might not like. That way, you can be honest without making the product sound worse than it actually is.

I think it's important to be honest about a product's weaknesses without making them seem worse than they actually are. Building credibility as an affiliate is more valuable in the long run than simply trying to meet a sales quota. You can also explain how certain limitations might be addressed or suggest another product that complements it. For example, a product might not work as well on its own, but pairing it with the right accessory or tool could make it much more useful. This way, you're helping your audience understand what they're buying while still showing them the product's value.
