Idea Pins vs. Standard Image Pins: Which drives more traffic to your site?

[GidrenSully]

Idea pins get great views inside the app, but standard pins allow direct website links. Which pin format brings more actual visitors to your blog or shop?

For driving traffic to the site, I would use standard image pins with a direct link to the relevant article. Idea Pins are designed for native Pinterest traffic. Idea Pins have been available as a Pinterest experiment and are no longer operational in the same capacity as standard image pins with an outbound link.
