Should online stores continue offering cash on delivery despite the risks?

Cash on delivery makes online shopping more convenient for customers who prefer to pay only when their orders arrive. But for sellers, it can be a hassle when customers refuse to accept their parcels or fail to receive them, leaving the business to deal with extra shipping costs. With these risks in mind, do you think offering COD is still worth it for online stores?

I would still offer cash on delivery because not everyone is comfortable paying online, especially when buying from a store for the first time. It can help businesses reach more customers who might otherwise hesitate to place an order. Of course, sellers also need to protect themselves from fake or refused orders, but removing COD completely could mean losing potential buyers who simply prefer paying when their parcels arrive.
