Reddit is a goldmine for finding raw customer problems. What search terms or phrases (like "how do I fix" or "alternative to") do you use to find business ideas?

I search for phrases that show frustration or comparison intent, such as “struggling with,” “how do you,” “what do you use instead of,” and “is it worth it.” I also read the comments because people often explain the real problem there. Repeated complaints matter more than one dramatic post.

Reddit's native search is weak, so I lean on frustration phrases like 'am I the only one who' and 'I wish there was a way to', then filter by top of all time to find the posts that actually resonated. The comments under those posts usually describe the problem in more detail than the original post does. Sorting a subreddit by top of the year and mining the related-suggestions on one strong post gives more signal than a single search.
