I’m getting ready to set up checkout on my site. Between Remitly and PayPal, which one do customers trust more, and which has lower fees for a beginner?

I would assume that the choice of the platform will be dictated by the most common payment methods among the target audience. In particular, in my opinion, PayPal is much more attractive to the majority of customers due to its simplicity and security. Although Remitly has its advantages over PayPal in some areas, its primary focus seems to be the transfer of funds between accounts, which cannot be said about PayPal. Therefore, for an online store, I would choose the most popular digital wallet.

I usually go with Remitly because it’s more convenient for me, especially for straightforward transfers. For a brand-new store, though, I’d compare the fees and transfer speed based on what you actually need.

I use PayPal. It’s pretty convenient for a new store, especially since you can accept payments through links or invoices without needing a complicated setup.

Interesting, I guess I'll try making one too, it wouldn't hurt to add another one.

I actually use both! I’m pretty flexible when it comes to payments, so I usually just go with whichever option works best for me and the customer.
Yeah, having both makes more sense. It gives you and the customer more flexibility, especially since not everyone uses the same payment method.

I can see why PayPal would be the more practical option for an online store since a lot of customers are already familiar with it and comfortable using it.

It wouldn’t hurt to add an extra option. Giving customers more ways to pay can only make the checkout process a little easier.
